Can you answer charcartoon’s question about Bonds?:

I have 7 savings bonds that I purchased this year from my job. I bought them for $50. In July I stopped buying them because I realized that they are of little value. Instead of just keeping these bonds locked up in a drawer somewhere I was wondering if I could possibly put them into some type of savings account and wait for them to mature. Is this possible or would I have to wait until they have fully matured?

Can you answer niceguy8198’s question about Bonds?:

I cashed in $480 worth of savings bonds over the summer from 1989-1991. I am a student but they were not considered student savings bonds. Currently I am unemployed but considered a dependent to my family.

Will I get a bill for the taxes due and how much should I expect to pay (and when). Thanks for your help.
