What do the credit ratings on bonds mean?

Answered By Editor

Credit ratings are utilized in order to assess how likely a borrower is going to repay its bond on time. This is considered to be an important factor for maintaining the credibility of a borrower. So far, the best credit rating is AAA. The fewer A's that you will be rated means that you possess lower credit rating.
